Even if you are a regular reader here, you may not have noticed that I have slightly altered the welcoming message at the top of the main page to the Anvil this morning. It has been changed as follows, the following lines being added:

I was just brewing my coffee and decided to turn on FOX & Friends. Geraldo Rivera was on promoting his new book. Then the talk turned quickly to immigration. I couldn’t help but notice that, as has become all too-frequent, the phrase “illegal immigration” was not in use. Disturbing.
More disturbing though was the attitude of Geraldo Rivera, an attitude that I have witnessed several times on his part in recent memory. Geraldo, obviously an Hispanic-American, says that most Americans are “overreacting” to the “immigration problem.” This irritates me to no end. Overreacting? Geraldo you should be careful — your cultural-bias is showing like an old lady’s slip.

Colorado Congressman Tom Tancredo has the guts to tell it like it is about the threat from illegal immigration and Islamic terrorists all in one quick new campaign commercial. As far as I am concerned, this is the closest yet that any candidate for the Presidency has come to actually confronting the greatest and most dire issue of our time: Islamism. Tancredo deserves high praise for this campaign spot, but I guarantee he will get just as much or more negative attention for being so bold, because that is the state of this nation of ours; we are constantly mislead by a Leftist media that is expert at playing ‘See no Evil, hear no Evil’ when it comes to the Islamist agenda.

1 CommentJust when I thought politics in New Mexico could not possibly become any more bizarre — they did. The police department for the state capitol, Santa Fe, has made the decision to hire Mexican Nationals (NOT US citizens) as ‘law enforcement’ officers. In this way, the new Mexican (not US) police officers can ensure that illegal immigrants are given the special privileges the anarchistic hordes have decided they deserve. And, New Mexico has begun the secession from the US, in order to no longer have to adhere to its pesky laws.

0 CommentsNext week, Congress comes back into D.C., to debate “immigration reform” again. Who are they going to be listening to - the overwhelming majority of American citizens, or the mobs of illegal aliens in the streets?
For the longest time now, most of us who are realists have understood that the borders of the United States are inadequately protected. So, this report is not a surprise, but it is infuriating none-the-less.
