Atlas Shrugs: NIE ‘a work of fiction’

Ahmadinejad and KhomeiniAtlas Shrugs brings to light this morning information that proves that you do not always need to know all the facts to know when you are being lied to. My suspicions from just the other day about the validity of the NIE reports are being proven correct. Honestly, should anyone be very surprised?

The evidence continues to mount that this NIE was a work of fiction. Critics from across the political spectrum have voiced skepticism about its conclusions and its methodology; European allies doubt its accuracy, the International Atomic Energy Agency (which normally “sides” with Iran) has raised serious objections. The only parties that seem to trumpet the NIE report are Iran, Russia, and China-our foes.

Removing John Bolton from the United Nations was one of the dumbest political decisions to come out of D.C. in recent memory. Just like removing the bulldog Bolton from a job that he was doing so well, the National Intelligence Estimate is yet more smoke and mirrors in the same effort to hide the grim reality that our enemies are closing in and we are doing too little to stop the worst of futures from one day slapping us across the face. At least when that slap finally lands, we won’t have any more excuses to not pay better attention.

Iranian Threat Not A ‘Cry Wolf’

Iran and its nuclear programI’m sitting here listening to the President answer questions from the Press this morning. Like jackals the Press Corps is circling and looking to cast doubt and blame because of recent intelligence information that claims to put Iran’s intent and capacity to build nuclear weapons into doubt.

This is no ‘cry wolf’ situation. Iran is a threat, has been a threat and will continue to be a threat. I do not believe for one second that Iran is not building nuclear weapon capacity. I do not care what “information” is now being put forth. It simply makes no sense to me whatsoever that the Islamic Iranian regime would not be looking to arm itself with nuclear weapons.

I do not have access to intelligence reports. I wish I did, but what I’m implying right now is that I don’t believe what I’m hearing this morning. I think this is smoke and mirrors.

Iran is still enriching uranium. Iran is still testing ballistic missiles. Ahmadinejad tells us over and over what he intends.

Don’t take your eye off the ball, Mr. President.

Open Thread: It’s a busy Sunday morning for Islamic apologists

MetastasisBy now you’ve read or heard or seen the news about the victimized British school teacher in Sudan who made the innocent “mistake” of allowing her classroom to name their mascot teddy bear Muhammad. Well, as predictable as the Sun is on a Sunday morning, here comes the wave of articles bound and determined to convince us that the “real Islam” is nothing like the Islam in Sudan. Or Saudi Arabia. Or Iran. Or Syria.

Um…

Just take a gander at some of this morning’s stories that I pulled off of my (very handy) Jihad News Feeds:

Do recent events represent Islam? - Edmonton Journal

A strain of Islam the West refuses to confront - Edmonton Sun

A failure to confront radical Islam - Times Online

The truth is, as we’re beginning to realise, we’re locked into a battle for hearts and minds at the core of which lies a battle for the essence of Islam…

The “essence” of Islam? We don’t have enough terror in the world to let us know what that “essence” really is? If a neighbor walked into your home every day and struck you in the head with a shovel and said: “Allah made me do it.” — would that give you a better understanding?

Fanatics destroy image of Islam in Sudan and Saudi Arabia - Ya Libnan

Hirsi Ali’s Anti-Islamic Propaganda - Black Star News

Sensitive War

Oh, but wait, I’ve saved the very best for last. Did you know that President George W. Bush has authorized the creation of a United States Postal Stamp that honors Islam? Did you also know that it will be released in the U.S.A. on Christmas Day, 2007? Well, now you do.

United States Stamp Honoring the Muslim religion

Yet, all hope is not lost, gentle readers. I saw this exchange live and I was cheering Brigitte Gabrielle from my living room. Even Bill O’Reilly seemed genuinely tired of the excuses for Islam:

This thread is now open to any and all discussion of your choosing, but I think I know where this one is going to head.

The Furious Pace of Global Jihad

American symbols burningI’m almost out of breath trying to read all the news that’s surging across the globe right now, fueled on by the Islamic hordes of “peaceful” Muslims. So, instead of writing some long-winded editorial today, why don’t I just make use of the news tools I have available and list some of the headlines that I believe you should be reading first.

Ladner: What it really means to be Islamophobic

It is so refreshing to come across an op-ed piece from a college writer that actually aligns with my own way of thinking. This morning I am cross-posting such an editorial from over at Tufts Daily by an International Relations major named Matthew Ladner (links and emphasis added). Mr. Ladner takes to task the notion that Islamophobia is a fairly diagnosed condition and proves in just enough words that we all have a right to hold Islam suspect if we feel justly threatened by Sharia Law and the like.

Pipes and other experts advise Giuliani

Rudy Giuliani announces Presidential bid (video)While I do not wish this to be misconstrued as an endorsement of Rudy Giuliani for President of the United States, I do believe that it is very important for people to know when someone like Dr. Daniel Pipes is advising a candidate. Daniel Pipes is one of the few experts around that truly understands the threat of Islam, so having him act as adviser could never be a bad thing for any future U.S. President. Now, if someone would just have the good sense to take on Robert Spencer as an adviser, then I would most likely endorse them.

Congressional call for Iranian Revolutionary Guards to be designated “terrorists” is a weak move

From Agence France-Presse:

WASHINGTON — The US Senate has called for Iran’s Revolutionary Guards to be officially designated a “foreign terrorist organisation,” a day after the House of Representatives passed a similar measure.

The Senate on Wednesday voted 76-22 for the non-binding amendment sponsored by Republican Jon Kyl and independent Joseph Lieberman to place the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, or Pasdaran, on the US terrorist blacklist.

You might expect that I would be happy about this move.

Ahmadinejad knows the power of boldfaced lies

When Mahmoud Ahmadinejad lies to an audience at Columbia University and states that “there are no homosexuals in Iran” it isn’t the lie that matters, it is the persistence with which he tells such lies. When Mahmoud Ahmadinejad refuses to answer “yes” or “no” to a simple question — “Did the holocaust happen?” — it is the opportunity for him to call out for “justice” for the “Palestinian people”, all in the hopes of making more people forget that the Jews have a right to own their own nation, and in hopes of making people believe that there ever was a nation called Palestine (which there was not).

Ahmadinejad Speaking at Columbia U. 1:30 EST Sept. 24, 2007

Ahmadinejad and KhomeiniDespite rumors and press postings to the contrary, Iranian President Ahmadinejad is indeed going to appear behind the podium at Columbia University in New York City today. Ahmadinejad will deliver a prepared speech at 1:30 EST and then take part in a question and answer session with the Columbia students.

The sad thing in all of this is that just as many of the students at Columbia that claim they understand that Ahmadinejad is a hate-monger would also say the very same thing about someone like me. Think about that while you’re perhaps watching the live televised coverage of Ahmadinejad or the YouTube copies that will no doubt be posted later today.

Bush not willing to order preemptive strike on Iran?

Iran and its nuclear programWhile President Ahmanutjob of Iran gets U.S. Secret Service protection in NYC today and visits Ground Zero (despite NYC official protests) and speaks at Columbia University by invitation (there go our Leftofascist, dhimmi professors again), word slides down the hill that President George W. Bush doesn’t have the will to bomb Iranian nuclear facilities without apparently grandiose provocation. This country needs an enema.

From the Drudge Report comes a report that reads much like fantasy to me, but there might be some modicum of truth inside. You decide:

Dumps of Iranian, Russian & Chinese arms found in Afghanistan

Iranian President Mahmoud AhmadinejadMost of us believe by now that Iran has been meddling to the point of warranting a Declaration of War from the U.S. Congress. This Iranian meddling has been proven by continued uncovering of evidence in Iraq, but did you know that Iran is also arming the Taliban in Afghanistan? Certainly we are in a state of war with Iran. American and Coalition soldiers are dead because of Iran. Many innocents as well. I put the blood of those recently murdered North Koreans squarely on the hands of Iran as much as the Taliban after seeing more and more reports such as this one:

Strange Timing: An Urgent Appeal for help from Regime Change Iran

Iran and its nuclear programWhen I saw the following over at Gates of Vienna (thanks to my Vigilant Freedom Newsletter — if you haven’t already joined other infidels in the 910 Group, do it), I stopped in my tracks. Then I checked the date. Can someone calculate the odds for me that the very same day (August 29th) that I mentioned Regime Change Iran being in my broken links, Gates of Vienna received the following appeal from — Regime Change Iran?

I am writing you with this urgent appeal because you have contributed to our work in support of the Iranian pro-democracy movement in the past.
