Fitna the Movie

Make a movie expressing just concerns about Islam and exposing the truly violent and fascist nature of its cult and you are bound to come under serious duress. Geert Wilders has had the courage to take on this unpleasant task. Several readers expressed wonder that I had not mentioned this documentary yet, so here is a taste of the movie. I have no idea how long this will be available on Google, so view it while you can. For ongoing information and the brew-ha-ha surrounding the film, I would refer you to Jihad Watch.

Benazir Bhutto Assassinated

Benazir Bhutto has been assassinated in Pakistan. I will be returning to Jihad Watch comments a little more over the next and future days, starting today; something I have let slide for many weeks. I’m beyond outraged with the state of this world. I think it’s time to start barking louder and I might as well get back to my roots to do it.

Jihad Watch unblocked by SonicWall

This will be old news to many but good news to all. Jihad Watch chief Robert Spencer disclosed news a few days ago that SonicWall has finally lifted the block on his site. For more information on this ongoing fight against censorship of bloggers, I refer you to the intrepid 1389.

I am just about on my way out of the hotel room (no Pinot Noir in mine, Greg) to Dartmouth College for my final Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week talk, but I thought I’d relay some good news I just heard from the crack legal team over at The Becker Law Firm.

Murder Attempt on Anti-Islamists in Denmark

Many of my readers may recall my past written support for the SIOE groups across Europe. I have read word this morning of an attempt on the lives of the Denmark leadership of the Stop the Islamization of Europe. This is very important because such a story will most likely be ignored by the MSM, so here is an opportunity for sites like Jihad Watch and the Anvil to do some more good in a sphere that is sadly unpopular with the disinterested masses.

Here is an excerpt from the report bySIOE: Stop Islamisation Of Europe:

2-5 sek. after there was a loud bang and the frontwindow was damaged. About two autonomous looking types were in the front and two on ecah sites smashing the site windows shouting Get him out get him out! and started hitting Anders and the SIAD passenger in the other site with ironbars. The SIAD member in the middle (foto) was hit of a thrown filled soda bottle in her backhead.

Anders succeded after a while to kick one of the autonomous hard in the face as he leaned in to unlock the door. Anders mananged to get out with a fire extinguisher from the van and hit another one hard on the shoulder. It remained later that they attemted to stab him down when there was found cut holes in the shirt, jacket and vest. Anders was wearing his securityvest which saved his life.

UPDATE: Here is an additional first-hand account from a JW poster named Holger.

Here is a bit of extra information of what happened after the attack on Anders and his group. After giving the police all the details of what had happened and discussing what to do it was decided that the uninjured of the party should carry on with the Demonstration. Anders drove the damaged wagon to the demonstration site where he and the demonstrators were protected by the police. The place of the demonstration was in front of the building where they are holding the human right conference, the one where the Saudi’s and the rest of the Arab have come too to tell us what is wrong with us and why we have to have new laws to protect the poor muslims from our rampant islamophbia. Here they marched in front of the building with pictures showing victims of Islamic justice. They shouted do you have human rights in your country as the Ambassadors left. By all intents and purposes the Egyptian Ambassador didn’t look too pleased. Morten Kjærum the Danish organiser came out to explain the position and a few words were exchanged traitor was one of the milder ones. Well as I said earlier don’t piss the Danes off and they don’t mince there words.

You have to admire the courage of these Danes.

There is an interesting Jihad Watch thread this morning centered around McCain: US founded on Christian principles, shouldn’t have Muslim president.

GOP presidential candidate John McCain says America is better off with a Christian President and he doesn’t want a Muslim in the Oval Office.

“I admire the Islam. There’s a lot of good principles in it,” he said. “But I just have to say in all candor that since this nation was founded primarily on Christian principles, personally, I prefer someone who I know who has a solid grounding in my faith.”

CAIR referencing Jim Sutter’s own hate for Islamist propaganda purposes

In an article on the CAIR website, the Islamist propaganda machine has actually referenced kooky Jim Sutter’s smear campaign as work to be taken seriously in the effort to shut down the free speech of author Robert Spencer and a circle of bloggers of which I am a known part.

Boycott Islam: Police surround Your Black Muslim Bakery in Oakland

Just read this over at Jihad Watch and obviously I’ve just updated my Boycott Islam - Companies and Products List:

Oakland and Fremont police have surrounded the Your Black Muslim Bakery in Oakland.

Television stations KPIX and KTVU report that S.W.A.T team negotiators and various high-ranking police officials are at the scene….

The late Yusuf Bey was the founder of Your Black Muslim Bakery, famed for its bean and carrot pies and known as having an open door to struggling families. Bey’s reputation took a hit in later years as he defended himself against rape allegations in Alameda County.

Man arrested for hate crime for Qur’an desecration

Sharia thoughtcrime comes to the U.S.: a man throws a Qur’an into a toilet, and has now been charged with a “hate crime.” The unindicted co-conspirators of CAIR are, of course, involved.

Robert D. Crane is a revert to Islam

One of my favorite atheists shares some very interesting insights this morning that I feel worthy of a cross-posting. From Hugh Fitzgerald of the famously undhimmified Jihad Watch:

Former Nixon aide Robert D. Crane is a convert to Islam, and his biography — the one he himself composed — shows other evidence of mental bizarrerie (to see it, google “Robert D. Crane” and “Posted by Hugh” and “Jihad Watch”). He has a vested interest in protecting Islam, and protecting as well his own emotional investment in Islam, as a convert. At this point, he is unlikely to say — it would be impossible for him to say, given his mental makeup, to say or even to allow himself a glimmer of a hint of saying or thinking anything like this: “Yes, you’re right, I ‘reverted’ to something I did not understand.”

How I Know I’ve Been Right All This Time

I’m just sitting here at my keyboard and it’s getting late; I’ve been looking around the Internet at the latest bad news from the Middle East, shrugging to myself in disgust and then I did a quick run through some of the latest Anvil statistics.

It’s quite amazing to me how much traffic I’m still generating considering that one of my most useful traffic generators, Digg.com, has seen fit to ban the Anvil because of the uneducated, bigoted and politically-charged opinions of a legion of Leftofascist yahoos. It’s also amazing to me, considering I have no connections to an established network like Pajamas Media, nor do I even seem to rate the link-love of some of the biggest players in the anti-Jihad blogosphere, namely such sites as Jihad Watch, Michelle Malkin, The Jawa Report and Little Green Footballs. That’s all OK — I show the love, and what goes around comes around; all in due course.

Yet, I just had an epiphany tonight as a result, I think, of seeing the strength of my readership and the solid loyalty the Anvil has garnered from a legion of other like-minded bloggers, all right in the face of obscurity: I’ve been right all this time.

“Right about what?” Well, right about the most basic part of this entire worldwide mess that seems to continue to elude our elected officials, as they ignore our borders and prosecute a War on Terror like a five ring circus. I’ve been right in coming to understand that if we are at war with anything in this world it is and has been Islam. I’ve been right in calling for the ousting of Muslims from our nations and slamming the immigration doors shut in their faces. I’ve been right in pointing a finger at anyone that appeases the Islamists. I’ve just been right.

If more idiots want to attempt to label me a “hater” for having the courage to state the obvious, advice that I give away for free, then so be it. I do not fear the attention. I do not fear the ignorant masses. My job here is to partly incite those masses so they will pay attention to the Truth. If I have to insult some people along the way to get them to finally open their eyes, I’ll do it. If I have to weather the tirades of moonbat armies, I’ll do that, too. Because I’ve been right.

I’m no Winston Churchill and never will claim to be, but history shows that Sir Winston underwent the very same accusations in Britain before the ugliest of truths about Hitler’s military buildup finally came to light — and Churchill had to steal that information. But I am me, whoever that is, and I’ve been right. Deny me all they want, but even the MSM talking-heads are starting to see that Islam isn’t the warm-fuzzy that they’ve been attempting to portray it as ever since 9-11. Even the Democrats are realizing they won’t get any new immigration bills passed until the U.S. government actually protects the damn border and makes damn sure that terrorists mixed in with the illegals don’t suddenly get validation under the auspices of what amounts to amnesty!

The American people are angry. Our active Congress currently has the lowest confidence rating in the history of the Gallup Poll at just 14%! That is absolutely pathetic. But again, it proves I’ve been right all this time.

I held out vain hope that President George W. Bush actually understood the threat and was playing a game of cat and mouse. I held out more vain hope that the moves into Iraq and Afghanistan were calculated to position for the needed reckoning due Iran, but on those things it appears I was not right. I’ve got nothing really good to say about a U.S. President who stands in a mosque in his socks. And that’s that.

But when it comes down to it, the inaction of Bush when it comes to Iran, combined with his appeasing attitudes towards Muslims worldwide and his hand-holding of the Saudi princes should prove again — I’ve been right! Iranian nuclear ambitions must be destroyed. The Saudis must be severely marginalized and their shenanigans here in the United States wiped up and swept away. The weakness and ill-education of George W. Bush proves me right.

Islam is still the Enemy: I’ve been right all this time.

What have you been right about, Mr. President?

And George W. will not make it right, you can bank on that. He won’t ever have the fortitude or guts to tell the Islamic world to go take a flying leap. He won’t ever have the courtesy and decency to allow our brave men and women in uniform to fight the real enemy of freedom. George W. might even manage to sell off plots of land and sections of Europe to more Muslims before he’s through, allowing the annexing of brand new Muslim nations — just what the world doesn’t need more of.

But I’ll still have been right all this time.

Washington Times: Unblock Jihad Watch

In light of recent emails I’ve also received here at the Anvil, and because I’ve been a long-time supporter of Robert Spencer’s Jihad Watch, I am bringing this editorial to the attention of my readers today, hot off the Washington Times presses:

In the last few weeks, e-mails began trickling to Jihad Watch Director Robert Spencer that his Web site had been blocked on the senders’ office computers as “hate speech.” The same blocking was also happening in some instances against the site memri.org, a translator of Arabic-language media. The sites are being blocked by private firms such as General Electric and JPMorgan Chase, plus a few state and local government agencies, whose filtering services had somehow decided the sites were “hate speech.”

“Hate speech” exists on these sites, all right, but not the kind that filters should be blocking — not as long as there exist doubletalkers who say all the right things in English but breathe anti-Western fire in Arabic. These sites shed much-needed light on this phenomenon, and as long as private firms are allowing political content on office computers, they should not be duped into blocking some. How they got blocked in the first place is a story of political correctness run amok. But it is also a story of what happens when citizens speak out in opposition.

First, the good news. Over the last four days, blocks have been lifted at Fidelity Investments, Whirlpool and a handful of other major companies, Mr. Spencer reports, following a wave of complaints by users. The complaints trigger a corporate reality check, which causes some to reconsider. “People need to realize that this kind of filtering is politicized, just like anything else. Leftists will be willing to use filtering services” just like any other medium, Mr. Spencer says. Various and sundry pro-Islamist Internet opinionists slap the “hate speech” label repeatedly, hope it sticks and sometimes, it does. But with a counter-campaign, their work can be undone.

The other piece of good news is that federal agencies, especially the ones we’d most like to read such material, have not been duped. The sites are available on computers at the Department of Homeland Security, the Pentagon and the State Department, according to our correspondents. Whether they are actually read there is a separate matter with a likely depressing answer. But at least the material is available.

We don’t doubt that the corporate blockers do their blocking in many cases unwittingly through politically unsavvy filtering services which in turn find themselves on the receiving end of various political campaigns. All these companies simply want to avoid social or political controversy.

But it is not really possible to avoid taking a position here, irrespective of these firms’ rights to block whatever they choose to, as long as the policy is fair and consistent. Essentially, these firms must either block all political speech — and we would counsel strongly against this heavy-handedness — or they would need to allow a wide range of material through, with only very obviously pornographic or incendiary material being blocked.

With any other approach, firms will be caught in the type of politicization that Jihad Watch and MEMRI know all too well. It does not serve anyone’s interests.

And you can unblock Foehammer’s Anvil while you’re at it, you powers-that-be, if the rumors of my own continued censorship are true. I know some are undoubtedly so.
