Vasko Kohlmayer of FrontPage Magazine has written an article on the recent conviction of “would-be suicide bombers” in the UK that ends with very insightful warning:
Countering this evil effectively will require that we fundamentally change the way we approach this problem. To begin with, western democracies will have to start crafting legislation aimed specifically at the destructiveness and murderousness peculiar to their Muslim residents. At the same, restrictions will have to be placed on Muslim immigration, for it is difficult to see how we can survive continued inflows of those who are not only hostile to the way we live, but are so willing to repay with evil the goodwill of their hosts.

Better news for a change. From the AP:
A White House-backed bill to revamp immigration laws stalled in the Senate on Thursday, handing President George W. Bush a major legislative setback.
The sharply divided Senate refused to limit debate on the fragile compromise hammered out by a bipartisan group of senators and the White House. The vote was 45-50, 15 short of the 60 votes needed to advance major legislation in the Senate.
As a result of the action, the legislation was set aside and the Democratic-majority Senate moved on to other legislation.
This should have been a no-brainer. Amazingly, this action was pushed by a couple of vigilant Democrats. So, everyone on the Left in Washington isn’t a complete sellout after all. That’s almost better news than this report itself. Details from Millitary.com:
WASHINGTON - The House took steps Thursday to make it harder for Iran to acquire parts for its aging F-14 fighter jets, voting to ban the Pentagon from selling leftover spares from its retired Tomcat fleet to anyone but museums.
