What? I’m back?
Yes, it sure appears that way. Not only is the Anvil alive and kicking, it’s kicking harder than ever. I have given my old hosting company, LunarPages, the heave-ho, and if you are reading this, then you can be sure that this blog is no longer hosted by anyone that outsources their tech support, that hires people that can’t read, write and speak English fluently and that has hidden agendas within the company to make my life basically Hell on the Blogosphere.
My new hosting company will remain nameless for awhile as I settle in and wipe away the dust of several days of very hard work. Jihad News Feeds and some other web projects of mine still require migration from the old to the new host, so I will still be busily getting all things back to normal over the next few days.
I’m glad to have you back, too, gentle readers. It just wasn’t the same without you.
Oh, and LunarPages? Good riddance. Seriously. I have learned the hard way that you definitely “get what you pay for” in the blogging business. Now I’m willing to pay quite a bit more in order to have my Free Speech actually free.
Hmm. There’s a lesson in there somewhere…

I am currently working on putting together the last stages of a migration of databases for the Anvil and other sites in this network over to the more powerful Virtual Private Server. Since this takes priority for a few days until everything actual makes the switch, I will most likely be posting articles infrequently until its completion. Please bear with me while this completes.

UPDATE Sept. 18th: I am still working with LunarPages technicians to resolve some issues before the new Anvil server becomes active, but it is getting closer and closer to resolution.

Alert: Today I have taken the necessary step of paying for an expensive upgrade to the Anvil hosting servers. Foehammer’s Anvil will be migrated to its own Virtual Private Server (VPS) within the next few days (Edit: Server migration is more complicated than I first thought, so hours have become days just to be on the safe side). There may be a downtime of approximately 1 to 3 hours in which time you may read articles at my mirror at Foehammer.com if you really can’t wait. 
Lunarpages’ Virtual Private Server Hosting Plans are geared towards larger, more popular web sites with higher resource and usage requirements. VPS is also ideal for E-Commerce or for webmasters who have outgrown shared hosting, who are not quite ready to upgrade to Dedicated Hosting.
What does all this mean? Faster load times! More room for expansion and greater features! The Anvil hosting is paid for in advance through September of 2008! That’s right. I’m not going away anytime soon despite the worst efforts of enemies of Free Speech and reality.
This is a big step forward and comes in answer to the obvious success of this project and the loyal support of readers like you. Thank you all very much!
Here’s to an even stronger last quarter in 2007 and spreading the Truth to more and more people about the future that faces us all.
