When corporate greed goes too far (hat-tip: Glugzy):
MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - The distillers of Sweden’s Absolut vodka have withdrawn an advertisement run in Mexico that angered many U.S. citizens by idealizing an early 19th century map showing chunks of the United States as Mexican.
The billboard ad has the slogan “In an Absolut World” slapped over a pre-1848 map showing California, Arizona and other U.S. states as Mexican territory. Those states were carved out of what had been Mexican lands until that year.

I cleaned up the map in Eastern Europe based on the map key theory in use.
I also added more info blurps and links.
Most notably, the region of Bosnia/Herzegovina has marked clearly as Muslim, as that is the majority religion there.

Keeping up with current events, I’ve gotten around to plotting some points in Iran, most notably nuclear research and related facilities. You will find many links and info blurbs when you run your mouse over old Persia now. More to come.

So, by now you hopefully have discovered the new focal point of Foehammer’s Anvil: my map. Wondering what this is all about?
Well, I was inspired by the words of Hugh Fitzgerald in a thread over at Dhimmi Watch recently. He basically put out the idea that someone should build a museum and a corresponding virtual representation of it to show the world what great monuments, temples, statues, artwork, landmarks, cemetaries, etc. have been destroyed by the incursions of Islamic peoples and beliefs. Well, I can not afford to build a museum, but I realized that I do have the means and the skill to create a virtual representation of that very idea.
