American Institutional Jihad: ‘The Islam Project’

Take a deep breath. Breathe out. Inhale. Breathe out.

Nice and relaxed? Good.

I want you to be ready for what you’re about to look at. First here’s a description from Pamela Hall of Stop the Madrassa (via a story over @ Michelle Malkin) that ties into a previous couple of reports here on the ‘Arabic’ school being built in New York City, “Khalil Gibran International Academy.” As you will see, the problem runs much deeper than just that academy. The ramifications are, well, nothing short of alarming:

This is a project run by people like the convert Susan Douglass of the Council on Islamic Education and the Islamic Society of North America. They are very well organized and have been orchestrating this comprehensive educational plan for many years with great success. Douglass has been very active and effective in Islamicizing the curriculum and textbooks used in the California public schools, the largest textbook market in the country and a bellwether for the U.S. This is how programs like the required three week course on Islam for all California 7th graders get implemented.

Check out the extensive list of Islamist organizations working on this project under “Community Engagement.” It all looks very innocent and legitimate on the surface. They started in CA in the California public schools, the largest textbook market in the country — next comes TX; then NY. This must be monitored and stopped.

Deep breath. Exhale.

Now here’s the website I’d like you to examine:

The Islam Project

The Islam Project

From the section ‘1st Amendment Classroom Guidelines’ of ‘The Islam Project’:

A Teacher’s Guide to Religion in the Public Schools

As all educators know, teaching religion, or teaching about religion, in today’s classroom is an extremely sensitive undertaking.

A comprehensive booklet on the subject, titled A Teacher’s Guide to Religion in the Public Schools, has been published by the First Amendment Center. The Center has generously allowed us to publish the document in its entirety on this site. We know you will find it useful and informative.

Now, I’ll be damned if that doesn’t sound like an end-around way of saying: “Be careful. Don’t get caught. Indoctrinate the kids into Islam after school if you have to.”

Comments are open. Feel free to vent. I want everyone’s gut impressions.

For more information and a link to a video, visit Michelle Malkin.

South Koreans mourn the murder of two Taliban hostagesADDENDUM: In case it doesn’t immediately leap out at readers as to why ‘The Islam Project’ is so vile in nature, I’d like you to think about it like this: find Christian missionaries in Saudi Arabia. There are none. Find Christian missionaries in Iran. There are none. Find Christian missionaries in Afghanistan. In Afghanistan…

The Korean hostages taken by the Taliban in Afghanistan didn’t even travel to that war-torn country to do missionary work and already two of the 23 have been murdered by the Islamic Taliban. This is too often how Christian charity is repaid by Islam. And where is the outrage from the “peaceful” Muslims?

(silence)

And yet in the United States and the Western world, Muslims utilize our freedoms to spread Islam. With ‘The Islam Project’ you can clearly see that even separation of Church and State means nothing but a ’speed bump’ to the Islamists, to be ignored or worked around with caution, but not fear of reprisal or the law. However, if Christians were to do the same in any Muslim nation in the Middle East, they would be routed out, imprisoned or tortured or beheaded or prosecuted by Islamic Law.

When is the last time you heard a report of an Islamic clergyman being murdered by a Christian or Jew or Hindu? Now think how often you have heard of an Islamic jihadi murdering a priest or nun — like the murdered Pakistani Catholic priest in the picture held by this Christian woman:

Catholic priest murdered by Jihadi in Pakistan

All roads lead to Rome and the courtyards of the Vatican are open to all, so perhaps you’d like to visit Mecca or Medina:

Muslims Only

I hope the disparity is clear for everyone.

Institutional Jihad: Saudi influence in U.S. classrooms

American born Muslim educator Susan DouglassYet another institutional jihad alert along the same lines as other reports that I’ve brought to you here at the Anvil this year. I first noticed this report over at Michelle Malkin, but be sure to read all of the Stanley Kurtz article from which the following is an important excerpt:

Believe it or not, the Saudis have figured out how to make an end-run around America’s K-12 curriculum safeguards, thereby gaining control over much of what children in the United States learn about the Middle East. While we’ve had only limited success paring back education for Islamist fundamentalism abroad, the Saudis have taken a surprising degree of control over America’s Middle-East studies curriculum at home.

How I Know I’ve Been Right All This Time

Uncle Sam: Buy War BondsI’m just sitting here at my keyboard and it’s getting late; I’ve been looking around the Internet at the latest bad news from the Middle East, shrugging to myself in disgust and then I did a quick run through some of the latest Anvil statistics.

It’s quite amazing to me how much traffic I’m still generating considering that one of my most useful traffic generators, Digg.com, has seen fit to ban the Anvil because of the uneducated, bigoted and politically-charged opinions of a legion of Leftofascist yahoos. It’s also amazing to me, considering I have no connections to an established network like Pajamas Media, nor do I even seem to rate the link-love of some of the biggest players in the anti-Jihad blogosphere, namely such sites as Jihad Watch, Michelle Malkin, The Jawa Report and Little Green Footballs. That’s all OK — I show the love, and what goes around comes around; all in due course.

Yet, I just had an epiphany tonight as a result, I think, of seeing the strength of my readership and the solid loyalty the Anvil has garnered from a legion of other like-minded bloggers, all right in the face of obscurity: I’ve been right all this time.

“Right about what?” Well, right about the most basic part of this entire worldwide mess that seems to continue to elude our elected officials, as they ignore our borders and prosecute a War on Terror like a five ring circus. I’ve been right in coming to understand that if we are at war with anything in this world it is and has been Islam. I’ve been right in calling for the ousting of Muslims from our nations and slamming the immigration doors shut in their faces. I’ve been right in pointing a finger at anyone that appeases the Islamists. I’ve just been right.

If more idiots want to attempt to label me a “hater” for having the courage to state the obvious, advice that I give away for free, then so be it. I do not fear the attention. I do not fear the ignorant masses. My job here is to partly incite those masses so they will pay attention to the Truth. If I have to insult some people along the way to get them to finally open their eyes, I’ll do it. If I have to weather the tirades of moonbat armies, I’ll do that, too. Because I’ve been right.

I’m no Winston Churchill and never will claim to be, but history shows that Sir Winston underwent the very same accusations in Britain before the ugliest of truths about Hitler’s military buildup finally came to light — and Churchill had to steal that information. But I am me, whoever that is, and I’ve been right. Deny me all they want, but even the MSM talking-heads are starting to see that Islam isn’t the warm-fuzzy that they’ve been attempting to portray it as ever since 9-11. Even the Democrats are realizing they won’t get any new immigration bills passed until the U.S. government actually protects the damn border and makes damn sure that terrorists mixed in with the illegals don’t suddenly get validation under the auspices of what amounts to amnesty!

The American people are angry. Our active Congress currently has the lowest confidence rating in the history of the Gallup Poll at just 14%! That is absolutely pathetic. But again, it proves I’ve been right all this time.

I held out vain hope that President George W. Bush actually understood the threat and was playing a game of cat and mouse. I held out more vain hope that the moves into Iraq and Afghanistan were calculated to position for the needed reckoning due Iran, but on those things it appears I was not right. I’ve got nothing really good to say about a U.S. President who stands in a mosque in his socks. And that’s that.

But when it comes down to it, the inaction of Bush when it comes to Iran, combined with his appeasing attitudes towards Muslims worldwide and his hand-holding of the Saudi princes should prove again — I’ve been right! Iranian nuclear ambitions must be destroyed. The Saudis must be severely marginalized and their shenanigans here in the United States wiped up and swept away. The weakness and ill-education of George W. Bush proves me right.

Islam is still the Enemy: I’ve been right all this time.

What have you been right about, Mr. President?

And George W. will not make it right, you can bank on that. He won’t ever have the fortitude or guts to tell the Islamic world to go take a flying leap. He won’t ever have the courtesy and decency to allow our brave men and women in uniform to fight the real enemy of freedom. George W. might even manage to sell off plots of land and sections of Europe to more Muslims before he’s through, allowing the annexing of brand new Muslim nations — just what the world doesn’t need more of.

But I’ll still have been right all this time.

Boycott Islam

Islamic Glacier Update: Muslims and Prayer in Public Schools

Firefox 2

Michelle Malkin has some updates on a story that I first brought attention to here on the Anvil on June 14th:

A San Diego public school has become part of a national debate over religion in schools ever since a substitute teacher publicly condemned an Arabic language program that gives Muslim students time for prayer during school hours.
Carver Elementary in Oak Park added Arabic to its curriculum in September when it suddenly absorbed more than 100 students from a defunct charter school that had served mostly Somali Muslims.

Michelle Malkin: Kill the Bill — Exposing the dirty deal

Michelle Malkin has the inside scoop from on the Hill about this damn amnesty bill that won’t die: Update- Senators to Bush: Enforce the laws first

President Bush puts more energy into opening the floodgates to Mexico than he does into securing the United States against illegal immigrants and Islamists. I strongly suggest you back off, Mr. Bush, and do something about the border problems — for real this time — and then come back to Congress after the break with something that actually addresses the very dire concerns of us, the legal citizens of the United States. Or don’t we count anymore, George? Or should I say, we won’t count if another 40 million Mexicans (and other foreigners) swarm across the border in the next five years as a result of amnesty giving the green light means “GO!” signal?

Michelle Malkin: Sanctuary Nation or Sovereign Nation: What can you do?

Michelle Malkin tells you what you can do to save the United States from becoming Northern Mexico.

Read the quick series of connected dots here.

Then bitch like hell at everyone in Washington, DC here.

We still run this country, at least for a few more years. But if the powers-that-be continue to have their way, your children, Mr. and Mrs. Average American, won’t even recognize it by the time we’re old and gray, and they’ll be too busy working to ever enjoy its former bounty, travel across it to visit Disney World or raise their own kids in it at all. Time to start letting our representatives know that we’re not taking this sitting down.

Want a list of Presidential candidates NOT to vote for?

Amnesty seems to be coming for millions of illegals and even reasonable attempts to keep thugs and gang members out of the country are being stopped. This seems to me to be an excellent way of figuring out who not to vote for in the U.S. Presidential race. It might be too early to know who I am going to personally endorse, but I sure as hell have known who I will not, and this latest evidence just cements my earliest observations.

6 arrested in plot to kill soldiers at Fort Dix

In just one more “bite the hand that feeds you” example of how Islamists in the U.S.A. plan to pay us back for our appeasement and charity, here is a report from the
New Jersey Star-Ledger. Much more insight can be found over at Michelle Malkin where she does an excellent job of putting together the puzzle pieces:

Federal investigators last night arrested six Islamic radicals who were planning a heavily armed attack against soldiers at Fort Dix as part of a jihad against America, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Anarchy Microcosm

Uncle Sam
For several weeks now I have been struggling to understand why the traffic flow to the Anvil has waxed and waned and then lately diminished to a low point that has my teeth on edge. But then I realize that because of my particular stance on Islam, I’m going to have forces working against me that are often unseen doing their best to marginalize my message, while at other times these forces are so blatant that they are even newsworthy. Well, one of the forces on the Blogosphere that has gained infamous renown for controlling the flow of thought is the Digg community. Digg users have a huge Far Left cadre that knows it can actually push stories to the basement with just a little organized clicking, and at the same time it can elevate stories to the very top that shouldn’t merit such attention. Now there’s anarchy breaking out over at Digg on this very point — when the users revolt, watch your back, especially when they are breaking laws.

Michelle Malkin comments on it.

So do the folks over at Techmeme.

Many of you will also recall this article of mine that delves into what this is all a syndrome of:

Is the Far Left really the New Fascist Party of America?

‘Anarchy in a bottle’ we might call it. Digg is like a microcosm of our own nation and the devolution in to anarchy that we are seeing more and more of. From the riots yesterday thanks to more illegal immigrants protesting in the streets of Los Angeles, to the actions of Far Left city councils creating ’sanctuary cities’, to narcissistic maniacs gunning down students on a college campus, society is going through some very disturbing changes. And believe me, these are all symptoms not unrelated.

I refuse to stop fighting this cancer, for even if there are days when it seems fruitless, there are other days when I am reminded that the fight is always worth it if the cause is just.

But today I am simply asking you, gentle readers, to witness the anarchists-in-action and to think upon these events and what will no doubt continue to brew in the coming years, and then ask yourselves what it is you wish to see for the future of your own children? Do we just give in to the mentality of those that want ‘individualism’ above all else and damn the consequences, or do we protect the Union and strive to save Western Civilization from the fascists within and the Islamofascists without?

I want Western Civilization to defeat its enemies and I damn well mean to see it through. There can be no Republic without law and order. There can be no true freedom when liberties run amok. Sometimes we have to just learn to say NO!

And if I have to scrape for every single reader, so be it. It’s a struggle I’m ready for.

I leave you now with an example of what I’m discussing here. This video was shot at the Chicago May Day (mayday!) March/Rally by the Freedom Folks and should leave you with little doubt of what threatens us all:

Frank Miller Gets It

'300'
Yep, as I’ve touched on before with my articles about the movie “300″, there’s no doubt that author/illustrator/comic book legend Frank Miller understands the true nature of Islam and Islamic terror. Michelle Malkin beats me to the punch on this story, which irritates me a little since I know more about the comic book world then she’ll ever know, but so be it. No sense in my rehashing what’s already been hashed. (I guess Michelle has a cadre of secretaries and never sleeps!)

MUCH has been made of Miller’s politics in the wake of “300.” The deliriously violent and stylized sword film is based on a Spartan battle in 480 B.C., and although Miller wrote and drew the story for Dark Horse comics a decade ago, in film form it was received by many as a grotesque parody of the ancient Persians and a fetish piece for a war on Islam. Miller scoffs at those notions. “I think it’s ridiculous that we set aside certain groups and say that we can’t risk offending their ancestors. Please. I’d like to say, as an American, I was deeply offended by ‘The Last of the Mohicans.’ ”

Still, Miller gets stirred up about any criticism of the war in Iraq or the hunt for terrorists, which he views as the front in a war between the civilized Western world and bloodthirsty Islamic fundamentalists.

“What people are not dealing with is the fact that we’re going up against a culture that finds it acceptable to do things that the rest of the world left behind with the barbarians in the 6th century,” Miller said. “I’m a little tired of people worrying about being polite. We are fighting in the face of fascists.”

The director of “300,” Zack Snyder, chuckled about the portrayal of Miller as a conservative on the attack or a “proto-fascist” as one pundit called him. “I don’t think he really has politics, he just sees the world in moral terms. He’s a guy who says what he thinks and has a sense of right and wrong. He talks tough and, after Sept. 11, I think he’s mad.” Snyder said Miller is a throwback and that he approaches his art with a bar-fight temperament, like a Sam Peckinpah. “His political view is: Don’t mess with me.”

Apparently, Miller’s Batman vs. al Qaeda comic book has stalled in the face of “squeamishness by executives at DC Comics and its parent, Warner Bros. Entertainment, in sending a franchise character on a blood-quest after terrorists.” No surprise there.

Miller describes the plot and assails the lack of pro-American, anti-jihad backing in his industry:

“Our hero’s key quote is, ‘Those clowns don’t know what terror is,’ ” Miller said. “Then he sets out to get the guys.”

With the hero as terrorism avenger, Miller is pointing to the days of comics in the 1940s, when Superman, Captain America and the Human Torch were drawn taking punches at Hitler or Hirohito.

“These terrorists are worse than any villain I can come up with, and I think it’s ridiculous that people in entertainment are not showing what we are up against here. This is pure propaganda, a throwback, there’s no bones about it.”

Miller also said he relishes a backlash. “I’m ready,” he said, “for my fatwa.”

Funny, but if we weren’t discussing Frank Miller here, I’d say someone was talking about me. I’m very happy to find more and more of my favorite writers (i.e. Orson Scott Card, Dan Simmons) are attacking this problem from the same moral standpoint as I and refusing to mince words.

Michelle Malkin: The American soldier’s code of conduct

US Marines take up positions outside Fallujah.
Michelle Malkin reprinted the following this afternoon, from a letter she received from one of America’s faithful defenders overseas. I wanted to share it with you all because it’s important to remember that we are not Europeans in more ways than just eating more cheeseburgers:

Apropos of the British sailors and marines’ release and their humiliation at the hands of Iran, an American officer in Iraq sent me this link to the DoD’s code of conduct for US soldiers:

I

I am an American, fighting in the forces which guard my country and our way of life. I am prepared to give my life in their defense.

II

I will never surrender of my own free will. If in command, I will never surrender the members of my command while they still have the means to resist.

III

If I am captured I will continue to resist by all means available. I will make every effort to escape and to aid others to escape. I will accept neither parole nor special favors from the enemy.

IV

If I become a prisoner of war, I will keep faith with my fellow prisoners. I will give no information or take part in any action which might be harmful to my comrades. If I am senior, I will take command. If not, I will obey the lawful orders of those appointed over me and will back them up in every way.

V

When questioned, should I become a prisoner of war, I am required to give name, rank, service number, and date of birth. I will evade answering further questions to the utmost of my ability. I will make no oral or written statements disloyal to my country and its allies or harmful to their cause.

VI

I will never forget that I am an American, fighting for freedom, responsible for my actions, and dedicated to the principles which made my country free. I will trust in my God and in the United States of America.

***

My Army friend writes that the release of the British servicemen “was no coincidence, and was Iran’s response to the escalation of measures against its nuclear program.” He urges that we open our eyes:

The world was distracted by the captured sailors incident, when it should have been focused on Iran’s nuclear intransigence. Instead Britain lost face and Iran became the benevolent captor. In my view, the incident on the border on September between US forces and border-violating Iranian forces was an earlier attempt by Iran to achieve a similar IO effect by capturing US forces, staging video in Iranian territory, parading them around on TV, and acting magnanimous in their release.

This would, of course, forced us to deal with them face to face immediately before the GWB spoke to the UN (as well as Ahmadinejad). The problem is, of course, that US forces fight back and we don’t allow ourselves to be paraded like fools for the world to see (see below).

Britain’s shame is Iran’s gain. Iran failed in September, but not this time, yet no news source has come to the conclusion that Iran had perhaps tried this before (even though they’ve been doing it for 30 years).

***

Reader A. e-mails about the code of conduct:

“We had to memorize it in basic. When I got to my unit, we had to recite it whenever we saw the Battalion Commander and he asked us to. I can still recite it to this day and I got out in 1992.”

Malkin: “Where is the outrage?”

Michelle Malkin rightly asks: “Where is the outrage?”

WARNING: The following links lead to the monstrous execution video of the Russian diplomats at the hands of Islamic jihadis.

http://michellemalkin.com/archives/005436.htm

We have Islam to “thank” for making snuff flicks more than just a subculture myth.

Now it’s my turn to say again: “Outlaw Islam in the United States.”
