Professor Carl Ernst of the University of North Carolina recently saw fit to include a trip to Jihad Watch — in a disparaging context, of course — in his “Introduction to Islamic Civilization” course. Ernst thus demonstrates how threatened he is by the challenge we represent to the Middle East Studies academic establishment and the propaganda it purveys in our nation’s universities.
Yet another institutional jihad alert along the same lines as other reports that I’ve brought to you here at the Anvil this year. I first noticed this report over at Michelle Malkin, but be sure to read all of the Stanley Kurtz article from which the following is an important excerpt:
Believe it or not, the Saudis have figured out how to make an end-run around America’s K-12 curriculum safeguards, thereby gaining control over much of what children in the United States learn about the Middle East. While we’ve had only limited success paring back education for Islamist fundamentalism abroad, the Saudis have taken a surprising degree of control over America’s Middle-East studies curriculum at home.

Readers here will have not soon forgotten my recent article in regards to what I call the ‘Burqa Blowout of Bacon Academy’ that actually brought me under personal attack by some students from that very school. Well, I’m definitely not alone in my criticisms of what goes on in Bacon Academy, as well as criticisms of some of its students, faculty and parents, and the events and groups (i.e. CAIR) surrounding it.
