When You’re Right, You’re Right

I agree with the following analysis completely. The source doesn’t matter; when you’re right, you’re right (emphasis added).

While there is no conclusive answer to who killed former Pakistani prime minister Bhutto, so far the only claim of responsibility has come from an Al Qaeda leader in Afghanistan, who posted the claim of responsibility on an Italian Web site. Al Qaeda posted the following message: “We terminated the most precious American asset which vowed to defeat the mujahideen. (holy warriors)”

Benazir Bhutto Assassinated

Benazir Bhutto has been assassinated in Pakistan. I will be returning to Jihad Watch comments a little more over the next and future days, starting today; something I have let slide for many weeks. I’m beyond outraged with the state of this world. I think it’s time to start barking louder and I might as well get back to my roots to do it.

Here’s a taste of my sentiments this morning.

Musharraf in his own words: Pakistan in ‘downward trend’

This pre-recorded video was played on Al Jazeera. In it Pervez Musharraf defends his reasoning behind declaring emergency rule in Pakistan. It is my opinion that we had better do everything we can to keep Musharraf safe and in control of Pakistan and if we fail to do so, we’d best have Special Forces standing by to drop in and secure that nuclear arsenal.

Musharraf on Borrowed Time

Things don’t look too good for our hero in Pakistan, ladies and gentlemen. Do you think that the Bush Administration is prepared to do anything it can to keep Musharraf in power and protect the world from Islamist control of real caches of nuclear weapons? You’d better think twice. George W. keeps swinging at windmills or accepting money from Saudi Arabian lobbyists, depending on your perspective. In my case, I think old George is a clueless nitwit who walks the fine line of becoming a traitor out of criminal ignorance of Islamism. Someone should remind our President that he took an oath.

Ladner: What it really means to be Islamophobic

It is so refreshing to come across an op-ed piece from a college writer that actually aligns with my own way of thinking. This morning I am cross-posting such an editorial from over at Tufts Daily by an International Relations major named Matthew Ladner (links and emphasis added). Mr. Ladner takes to task the notion that Islamophobia is a fairly diagnosed condition and proves in just enough words that we all have a right to hold Islam suspect if we feel justly threatened by Sharia Law and the like.

The Gun Bazaar of Pakistan

Climb on board and take a drive through the Khyber Pass that links Pakistan and Afghanistan in this exceptional video. Ancient Heroin routes, Darra tribes and the largest illegal arms market in the world are unveiled right before your eyes.

The Myth of Islamophobia

You might remember seeing atheist Pat Condell here before. Well, today I’m posting one of his latest diatribes because it’s a discussion of why ‘Islamophobia’ is a ridiculous concept. He also touches on the ‘Rushdie’ protests in Pakistan, the death threats to the Queen, the all-too-typical Muslim outrage, and the Muslim Council of Britain, which sounds very much like America’s own Islamofascist (and Saudi funded) front-group, CAIR.

Mr. Condell has a condescending manner about him that irritates, but as long as he’s making correct points about Islam, I will post his video monologues here now and again.

Islamic scholars honor Osama bin Laden

Osama bin Laden

The Truth? You can’t handle the Truth. And why is that? Are we all such cowards that we believe that by remaining ignorant we will somehow protect ourselves, our loved ones, from a future that we don’t want to imagine? That’s a sad and pathetic excuse to keep reaffirming for yourself if I’m right.

From Pakistan comes just another big-gong-of-a-wakeup-call for the non-Muslim world. Pull out the earplugs please:

ISLAMABAD - Pakistani Islamic scholars honoured Osama bin Laden today in response to Britain’s knighthood for Salman Rushdie, as a senior ruling party member said he would not hesitate to kill the novelist.

Jihad against Pak Govt. obligatory, says Lal Masjid cleric

Pakistan
A brief report from the Malaysian Sun sends a typical message to any government that would thwart the rule of Sharia Law:

Islamabad, May 11 : Launching a jihad against the Musharraf regime should be seen as an obligatory act for every Muslim, said Maulana Abdul Aziz, the chief cleric of the Lal Masjid.

He claimed that the regime and the government that it supports had taken un-Islamic steps, and therefore, seminary students and the people should come out to enforce the Sharia.

Daniel Pipes: A Million Moderate Muslims on the March

Daniel Pipes had this to say this morning about the recent and rare turnout of hundreds of thousands of “moderate” Muslims in Pakistan and Turkey seeking to keep some semblance of secularism intact in their nations’ governments (hat-tip: Sheila).

Is it not telling that great numbers of moderate Muslims see danger where so many non-Muslims are blind? Do developments in Pakistan and Turkey not confirm my oft-repeated point that radical Islam is the problem and moderate Islam the solution? And do they not suggest that ignorant non-Muslim busybodies should get out of the way of those moderate Muslims determined to relegate Islamism to its rightful place in the dustbin of history?

At Least 12 Killed, Interior Minister Injured in Pakistan Blast

Rumblings of Jihad continue in Pakistan and caches of nuclear weapons await the Unholy Warriors of Islam. From FOXNews.com:

PESHAWAR, Pakistan — A homicide attacker detonated a bomb as Pakistan’s interior minister finished speaking at a meeting in the country’s northwest on Saturday, killing at least 12 people and wounding the official.

Security guards blocked the attacker as he tried to approach Interior Minister Aftab Khan Sherpao at the public meeting in Charsadda, an intelligence official said. The attacker detonated the bomb moments later.

U.S. targeting Islam, many Muslims in poll say

Amazingly, no matter how much we perceive that our governments are appeasing Muslims and denying the global conflict with Islam, the Muslims themselves are hellbent on portraying themselves as victims again. Propaganda is well utilized by our Islamic enemies, I’ll give them credit where it’s due. They are masters of deceit and wordplay, playing possum and playing the martyr. It’s worked for Islamists for centuries.

Unfortunately, it won’t work forever and I certainly mean to be a part of that cure. Truth shall prevail and Islamofascist scum can cry more.

Oh, my! Did I just offend someone?

Some more lies, damn lies and statistics for this week:

WASHINGTON — Majorities in Egypt, Morocco, Pakistan and Indonesia say undermining Islam is a likely goal of U.S. foreign policy and many are unconvinced that Al Qaeda committed the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, according to a poll released Tuesday in Washington.

The survey by the University of Maryland’s Program on International Policy Attitudes questioned 1,000 or more people in each country. A majority of those surveyed in Morocco and in Indonesia, which has the largest Muslim population of any country, said it is a goal of the U.S. war on terror to “spread Christianity” in the Middle East.

“While U.S. leaders may frame the conflict as a war on terrorism, people in the Islamic world clearly perceive the U.S. as being at war with Islam,” program director Steven Kull said in a statement.

Well, look at that — many Muslims and I have something in common. Who’d have thunk it? But who started this war if it wasn’t Muhammad? Answer me that, honest Muslims. I think they need to stop with the half-truths. The war isn’t just between Islam and the United States. If it was there wouldn’t be bombings in the Philippines, India, Spain, England, Africa, et al. Really, Islamists, your continuing audacious twisting of the truth is bordering on a mass comedy routine.

Since 9/11, President George W. Bush has maintained that the United States targets only those who commit violence in the name of Islam, not the religion itself.

In Egypt, 92% of those surveyed said they believe it is a probable or definite U.S. goal to “weaken and divide the Islamic world.” In Morocco, 78% of those questioned said they agreed, as did 73% of those in Indonesia and urban Pakistan.

Only 28% of Egyptians, 26% of Indonesians, 35% of Moroccans and 2% of urban Pakistanis said they believe Al Qaeda was behind 9/11, the poll found.

Thirty-eight percent of Egyptians blamed the United States or Israel for the attacks, as did 20% of Indonesians, 31% of Moroccans and 28% of urban Pakistanis.

Conducted between Dec. 9 and Feb. 15 using in-home interviews, the surveys have a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points, except for Pakistan, where the margin is 4 points.

While urban and rural people were polled in Morocco, Indonesia and Pakistan, the survey didn’t report findings from rural Pakistan because people there were unfamiliar with many of the issues in the survey, according to the pollsters.

Spreading Christianity in the Middle East was probably or definitely a U.S. goal, said 67% of Moroccans, 64% of urban Pakistanis and 61% of Indonesians.

The survey group said it wasn’t allowed to ask the question in Egypt.

Barbarism. That’s what we are faced with. Beware any people that seek to kill you in the name of “God”, especially when God has nothing to do with it.
