Open thread on a tense Sunday

It’s September 9th. Protests are starting at various points on the globe today and moving straight through to September 11th. It should be a happier world than it is, but again and again we are reminded that the innocence is gone — by Islamists, Anarchists, Russians and other pains in the ass.
I updated another article with a podcast a few days ago but neglected to announce it on a podcast Sunday. It’s not showing up in the sidebar player due to some sort of RSS bug, so I’ll mention it again for those that may have missed it.

For those that might be attending any protests or rallies this week, please be safe. This thread is now open to free-for-all discussion.
Here’s a question for you all to ponder: Is the black dye-job to Osama bin Laden’s beard itself a signal to Al Qaeda agents to initiate planned attacks?

Demonstrations Set for Sept. 11: Stop Islamisation of Europe

SIEO is set to have a major demonstration on September 11th of this year in Brussels. Cassandra has this to say in part of a recent related article:

ABC News Submits Terrorist Tape

0 CommentsAmerican Broadcasting Company (ABC) television submitted a videocassette to the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for examination. The cassette, which was obtained in Pakistan, includes Al Qaeda statements regarding the organization of a new large-scale attack against the United States.
ABC Vice President Jeffrey Schneider said it would be irresponsible to broadcast the video while its authenticity has not yet been determined.
