9-11. Patriot Act. Body scanners. Frisking 8 year old cub scouts. No, I’m not kidding. From the New York Times:
The Transportation Security Administration, under scrutiny after last month’s bombing attempt, has on its Web site a “mythbuster” that tries to reassure the public.
Myth: The No-Fly list includes an 8-year-old boy.
Buster: No 8-year-old is on a T.S.A. watch list.
“Meet Mikey Hicks,” said Najlah Feanny Hicks, introducing her 8-year-old son, a New Jersey Cub Scout and frequent traveler who has seldom boarded a plane without a hassle because he shares the name of a suspicious person. “It’s not a myth.”
This past Sunday on January 3rd, I kicked off the New Year by making a guest appearance on ‘The Jeff & Mike Show’ where I was asked to go into my opinions surrounding the Underwear Bomber from Nigeria (Al Qaeda!) and the culture of fear surrounding us all here in the United States. Here is my segment from that 3 hour broadcast. It is approximately 38 minutes in duration. I wish I had had even more time.
There is a proliferation of articles around the Blogosphere now, discussing the pros and cons of these new body scanners that the U.S. Federal Government and many foreign governments are installing in hundreds of international airports. People are worried about issues ranging from invasion of privacy to radiation. Of course, the “educated class” is going to tell us that this is all for our own good.
How many times must we be scammed into giving up our rights?
Let me make one point as simply and succinctly as I can: Islam by its misogynistic nature breeds aggressive behavior and the religion/cult is a political system, a way of life. There’s no need to “profile” Muslims since they are all capable of doing things in the name of Allah that we won’t be happy with. So, why is it that no concrete steps were taken after 9-11 to address this simple fact in a broader way, like protecting our borders?

It was only a matter of time before the illegals posed an even greater threat to American lives. So much for all the hand-holding and coddling of the impoverished Mexican masses. Look where it is leading us. Close the damn borders already! What is it going to take? I’m calling my own Representatives right now and reading a bit of the riot act. I’m sitting in the cross-hairs down here in Texas and it’s not a good feeling, so I feel it’s my duty to share that “feeling” with members of Congress.

Unfortunately, if you still think that those buildings, 3 of them, fell into themselves so neatly after two jet aircraft hit only 2 buildings, well, then you might seriously need to question your own sanity.

What could turn this nation back into barbarism overnight? The loss of electricity. Think about the ramifications of having no working computers, no light, no heat, no air conditioning, no Wii or Playstations! A mad, mad, mad, mad world it would become.
Well, though I’m half-joking, the reality is grim. Just take a look:

I do not expect anything to stop terrorism in the United States or around the world as long as fear is turned into massive profit.
We can “bailout” mega-corporations like Citicorp — which also happens to have at least 9% of its holdings owned by Arab-Muslim investors — with trillions of dollars in Unconstitutional tax money collected from the American People, but we can’t build a wall for a mere fraction of this cost to keep the invaders from Mexico out of our Nation.
