Foehammer is On the Air!

It’s the 1930’s all over again, folks, and Foehammer’s Anvil is On the Air!

In line with my passion for history and my awareness of how applicable our lessons from WW II are to our struggle today, I decided to dip once more into the vintage war posters and find just the right fit for the new Foehammer Podcast, especially to represent my feed over on iTunes:

And here’s the original:

Keep It Free!

You can see now why this was the perfect choice, but let’s add a little sound for the full nostalgic effect:

And if Muhammad drank a Coke in a movie?

Coke fizzing mad over religious film which depicts Jesus drinking a Coke:

Coca-Cola is up in arms over an Italian film that shows Jesus Christ drinking from one of its cans.

The drinks giant is threatening to sue unless the offending scene is taken out.

In Seven Kilometres from Jerusalem, a modern-day Christ hitches a lift to Jerusalem with the movie’s main character Allesandro Forte, an Italian advertising executive.

During their drive together, Christ, played by Alessandro Etrusco, is offered a Coke, which he drinks with relish.

Another Foehammer Poster Available in Store

After some prodding by readers, I have finally gotten around to making a mini-poster of “This is the Enemy” available for purchase in my store. The poster measures 11″ x 17″ and is on glossy, high-quality 12 point paper. I was pleased with the results of my first poster when I received copies, so I’m confident the results with this print will be just as exceptional.

NEW WAR POSTER: This is the Enemy

Another one of my homages to classic WWII propaganda posters, and more importantly, my reaction to the many recent events in the United States surrounding the election of our first Muslim congressman, to the Flying Imams, the constant warbling of CAIR, to the latest controversy over Congressman Goode standing up for what is right. Click the image for a slightly larger/clearer view, and one suitable for linking to my site and/or posting on your own blog can be found here.

‘Foehammer’s Press’ Storefront — Now Open!

After several kind and motivating readers to the Anvil got me to thinking and working in Photoshop again, I have finally made actual posters, t-shirts and more available! Check out my storefront at CafePress.com and let me know what you think. There will be more designs in the future, but my vanguard graphic is the popular retro WWII poster design I did back in May. I have since redesigned and enhanced the image significantly for added clarity and resolution (Note: the image below is the old version).

WAR POSTER: Islam is the enemy

I got inspired today; sometimes it manifests artistically. Here is the result (with a tip of the hat to the original patriotic WWII artist, of course):

Feel free to use this poster image on your own websites. Email it to your friends, etc. Resize it if you wish (click on the image to see a larger version). All I ask is that the image content/message remain intact.

And last, but surely not least, here is the original poster from the Second World War:

Hammerstrike: ProtestWarrior

There’s a growing group of Conservative protestors in this country.  They are trying to balance out the all-too-well publicized Left-wing and Anarchist protest groups that evidently believe only they have a right to be heard.  I strongly urge people to get involved with ProtestWarrior and show your support for the War on Terror and the President and our troops.

From the Fox News article:

LOS ANGELES — At anti-war rallies, thousands exercise their freedom of association and expression, but, if you’re anti-left or pro-Bush, speech is not so free.

Sunglasses at Night

I came across the following poster on LGF. All I know of the creator is that she is named Helena.

I think it’s a fantastic visual statement. In so many ways, it reminds me of the World War II posters that helped rally American spirit just prior to and during our participation in that conflict.

Are you blind too?
