From an article posted over at the Muslims Speak Out Blog, hosted by the Washington Post, comes what I view as textbook taqiyya. Step lightly and with rubber boots on, there’s much bull#$%! ahead (denoted by added emphasis):
Ideology vs. Information: Developing a Muslim Fourth Estate
By Firas Ahmad & al-Husein N. Madhany
Robert Baer, the former Middle East CIA operative, recently interviewed a 17-year-old suicide bomber from Afghanistan who was caught before he could undertake the attack. Baer discovers that, far from being a rabid, frothing-at-the-mouth, anti-American zealot, the boy was simply brainwashed into believing Al Qaeda’s ideology. Among the absurdities the boy believed was that the President of Pakistan, Pervaiz Musharaff, was a Jew.

The United States military is finally showing signs that its generals aren’t completely without foresight. Excerpts from a Washington Post report:
U.S. military officials here are increasingly envisioning a “post-occupation” troop presence in Iraq that neither maintains current levels nor leads to a complete pullout, but aims for a smaller, longer-term force that would remain in the country for years.
The creativity of this uncovered plot should be yet another warning that we are not fighting idiots, and yes, you guessed it — the plotters weren’t Baptists. Now I have to ask, if these people are Muslim extremists, why aren’t there other “extremists” from other religions plotting to do the same such attacks? I mean, come on, at least once in a blue moon we should be getting a report of Extremist Jews plotting to blow up a sausage factory or something, right? But you understand by now, I hope, that this entire “extremists” excuse is just a now dead Politically Correct plot element that should be cast away and no longer uttered.
The mysterious words. Details from the Washington Post:
Law enforcement sources said that Cho died with the words “Ismail Ax” in red ink on one of his arms, but they were not sure what the words meant.
Investigators also found a note left in the shooter’s dorm room, said to a law enforcement source familiar with the investigation. “It’s sort of a manifesto” said the source, who described the note as a rambling and somewhat incoherent list of grievances. Among the people that Cho attacked in the note were those he considered rich, spoiled students, the source said. “It was just sort of against the world,” the source said.

Why do we have anyone in the Western world speculating about how the monster Abu Musab al-Zarqawi died?
I’ll tell you why: in the twisted and insane minds of so many liberal and often not-even-so-liberal minds in the West today, we have an enemy that can not stop looking to undermine the strength of the United States and her allies. This enemy within, that has kneejerk reactions to the circumstances of even the death of such a vile, murdering low-life like Zarqawi, has no place in our society any longer.

The President has finally decided to send troops to the border, but I’m hesitant to get all giddy quite yet. I wouldn’t be suprised if this wasn’t just a move to appease worries temporarily and then push the current bills through the Congress while the attention of the American people is diverted.
And, of course, el Presidente Fox can only whine. Never a worry about what’s best for the United States or Mexican and American relations. Oh, no. He’s worried that his drug exports might slow down or be impeded altogether for a few days.

Hamas makes it clear that they aren’t going to play ball. From the Washington Post:
RAMALLAH, West Bank, Feb. 18 — The radical Islamic group Hamas took control of the Palestinian parliament Saturday during a somber swearing-in ceremony, and legislators from the new majority quickly made clear that they would not abide by signed agreements that recognize Israel’s right to exist.

Bin Laden and his cohorts once again make things quite clear for the rest of us, if only we would pay attention. From the Washington Post:

The United States has obtained a letter from Osama bin Laden’s deputy to the leader of Iraq’s insurgency that outlines a long-term strategic vision for a global jihad, with the next phase of the war to be taken into Egypt, Syria and Lebanon, according to U.S. officials.
Remember the Communist scare in the United States? The jokes that still abound — “There’s a Commie behind every tree!” Well, unfortunately, the realistic viewpoint that Islam harbors thousands of enemies in the United States is substantiated by the truth behind “mainstream” Muslims like Abdurahman Alamoudi.
From FrontPage magazine comes the following excellent article by Daniel Pipes:
In 2002, the spokesman for FBI director Robert Mueller memorably described the American Muslim Council (AMC) as the “the most mainstream Muslim group in the United States.” A year later, the Catholic bishops called the AMC “the premier, mainstream Muslim group in Washington.”

You know, for many weeks now I have looked at pictures and even video footage coming out of Iraq — almost all of the material constantly trailed across American newscasts day after day and on websites like those run by the Washington Post.
I have to now ask: Where is the torture at Abu Ghraib?
So far I have seen naked Iraqi males. Yes, uncomfortable for them, perhaps disorienting or embarrassing. Too bad. That’s not torture. I’ve had jobs where I’ve had to be on my feet for more than twelve hours at a time in bad shoes and I can guarantee you, I’ve suffered more pain than I see in most of these photographs just from that experience alone.
